A HOSTAGE situation has ended at a church in France as two knifemen, whom have now been shot dead, reportedly held a priest, sisters and several worshippers.
Between four and six people are being held in an ongoing situation in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray, Normandy.
It comes after a string of terror-related incidents across Europe.
Police are at the scene in the Haute-Normandie region of northern France.
The hostage takers are reported to have stormed the Church of the Gambetta at around 8:45am.
A large area has been evacuated and cordoned off around the scene.
